love a good metaphor.  I'm sure this is of no surprise.

Metaphors are amazing because they find within us our own memories and experience and put a FEELING to the lesson.

This morning, I'm sitting in Starbucks enjoying my coffee while I work on my first novel *eee* that's been wanting to be worked on and born for YEARS, and the song that's stuck inside my head is the one from Wizard of Oz where the villagers sing to Dorothy, "follow they yellow brick road, follow the yellow brick road, follow-follow-follow-follow-follow the yellow brick road" and it feels like truth in my heart when this song applies to the feeling of my new favourite quote,

"the destination isn't the destination. The JOURNEY is the destination"

Dorothy gained everything she required, everything she desired, everything that she needed to learn to have all of the proof for her to understand that she had the power to manifest what she desired the whole time (please put yourself as Dorothy as I say this with my whole heart and conviction).

She needed to go through the whole yellow brick road journey to understand that she IS the powerful creator.  Even when it was scary, even when it didn't make sense, she held the faith that if she kept following the yellow brick road, she would achieve her desired outcome.

YOUR yellow brick road is inspired action.  They knowing that you have to go somewhere or do something.  Having a dream about something and following through with it when you wake up.  Seeing an email or a post come your way and immediately getting that 'yes' feeling. Having something plant a seed in your brain and not be able to get it out of your mind.  This feeling of knowing that against all logic (it's definitely inspired action if it isn't logical) that this is something that needs to be done or this thing needs to get to this person or you need to go here.

I hope today you see a pair of red shoes to remind you of how fucking powerful you are.  I hope that you watch the movie (it's on Crave) and imagine yourself as Dorothy and see your friends and lovers as the characters she meets along the way.  I hope you see the Wizard as God/Universe/Source and I hope that you see the Witches of the West and the East as your Ego and your Higher Self.  The flying monkeys are your limiting beliefs.

You have the power in you. I KNOW you do.  I can see it and feel it. I can hear your prayer of 'no place like home' (also notice how she manifests it and how she speaks).

Always,
